Customs seizes 10 varieties of smuggled drugs at Aden International Airport

Customs employees, in cooperation with the security authorities at Aden International Airport, seized ten varieties of smuggled drugs for treating neurological diseases, immunosuppressants, sugar and shortness of breath, were hidden inside passengers ’bags.
General Manager of Aden International Airport Customs, Khaled Bakir, confirmed that the seizure of smuggled medicines came in accordance with the Customs and Development Law issued by the Supreme Medicines Authority, due to their contradiction to import regulations and the failure to bring prior permits for them, especially those related to neurological diseases, given the damage to the health of the citizen’s health.
He reaffirmed the continuation of customs employees their efforts in the field of combating smuggling, in implementation of the directions of the government and the concerned authorities represented by the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority regarding enhancing the security of ports and fighting various forms of smuggling.
