A young man killed his father and his father's wife in a brutal manner, before he buried them in a fold of livestock, in Rima Governorate (northwest of Yemen).

Local sources said that the crime occurred in the Bani Don district of the Jabin district, where the perpetrator used an ax to carry out the crime, before he bury the two bodies in a locally known as the “lower”, which is a traditional fold for livestock.

The sources added that the two bodies remained buried for about ten hours before the neighbors began to doubt and search, which led to the discovery of the crime.

The motives for the crime, which sparked a state of amazement and shock among the residents of the region, who demanded the speedy arrest of the killer and brought him to justice.

During the recent years, the rates of rituals have escalated in the areas of the Houthi militia control, amid security chaos and the growing manifestations of community violence.
