The Governor of Socotra, Eng. Raafat Al -Thaqali, yesterday, Tuesday, accompanied by the President of the National Council, Sultan Ali bin Afar, visited a number of service, vital and tourism projects in the Qalansi and Abdul -Korei district, which was implemented with funding and supervision from the United Arab Emirates through the Eastern Triangle Holding Company.
The tour included the power station, the alternative power station, and the desalination plant, in addition to the tourist camp project in the Daitah Reserve, which is still under implementation. In the projects, the services it provides to citizens, and the level of progress in implementing the tourist camp, stressing the importance of these projects in improving infrastructure and promoting sustainable development in the directorate. It has a great impact on improving the electricity and water sectors in the Qalansi district, praising the efforts of His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei in promoting development in the archipelago. He also stressed that these projects represent a qualitative shift in providing basic services, and contribute to achieving the stability and welfare of the population.
