The Yemeni currency continued its downward trend against foreign currencies in the capital, Aden, today, Sunday, as the US dollar recorded a noticeable increase of 10 riyals, reaching 1,532 riyals for purchase and 1,523 riyals for sale.
The Saudi riyal also rose by 5 riyals, reaching 403 riyals for purchase and 402 riyals for sale.
The Omani riyal increased by 20 riyals, reaching 3,252 riyals for purchase and 3,233 riyals for sale.
This collapse comes in light of the continuing economic crisis, the effects of war, the weakness of the local economy, and the lack of cash liquidity.
Economists expected that the collapse of the foreign currency would continue in the coming period, which would lead to an increase in the prices of goods and services, and increase the suffering of citizens.
