The central bank announces the results of its sixth auction, amid a slight improvement in the value of the local currency

The Central Bank in the city of Aden, in the south of the country, announced on Thursday the sale of 12.5 million dollars to commercial banks, out of 30 million dollars offered for sale at a public auction, which is the sixth since the beginning of this year.
This announcement came at a time when the Yemeni riyal is witnessing a slight improvement in its value against the dollar, as it recorded in the evening trading today, Thursday, 2262 riyals for the sale of one dollar and 2232 for purchase, after it exceeded the 2360 riyals barrier last week.
Since the beginning of this year, the Central Bank has announced five auctions, in a move that aims to meet the needs of the local market of foreign currency through commercial banks.
