The Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen in the capital, Aden, Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Maqbi, issued a decision to suspend the licenses of a number of exchange companies and close their branches.
In three separate decisions issued by the Governor of the Central Bank and published by the bank’s Facebook account, these decisions decided to suspend the licenses of Al-Majribi Company and its branches, as well as Al-Marri Company and its branches, as well as suspending the license of the Thamar Exchange facility and closing the store until further notice.
According to the bank governor’s decision, the aforementioned companies violated the bank’s decisions and instructions, according to field reports proving violations by the banking supervision sector.
These measures come within a package of decisions issued by the bank with the aim of preserving the national currency and preventing violations that are harmful to exchange activity.
