A member of the Presidential Command Council, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, visited the United Nations headquarters in New York, United States of America.

A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, accompanied by our country’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, toured the United Nations headquarters, which includes a group of departments and offices that serve various aspects of the work of the international organization, and got acquainted with the departments in the building, which are the General Assembly and the Security Council. And the Secretariat, as well as the International Court of Justice, the Economic and Social Council, and the Trusteeship Council, in addition to departments and agencies that deal with various issues such as human rights, development, political affairs, and humanitarian affairs.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council was briefed on the work and activity of the various departments of the international organization, and on the efforts made in the diplomatic, humanitarian, and development fields, which seek to achieve global security and stability, in addition to the efforts of the United Nations in promoting human rights and sustainable development..and in In this aspect, Major General Al-Bahsani praised the pivotal role played by the United Nations in addressing important international issues and supporting peace in various parts of the world.

Al-Bahsani heard, from our country’s permanent representative to the United Nations, a detailed explanation about the progress of work within the UN mission and the diplomatic team. The explanation addressed the challenges facing the team in defending the nation’s issues on the international stage, and the ongoing efforts to strengthen Yemen’s position in the international organization. In addition to continuous coordination with various United Nations departments to support peace and development efforts in the country.
