Today, the Al-Mualla area in the capital, Aden, witnessed a tragic accident, as a “balcony” in the Al-Hayat building collapsed during maintenance work, leading to the death of one worker and the injury of two others with varying injuries.

The accident occurred as a result of the apartment owners bringing in workers to restore the dilapidated “balcony”, which was posing a danger to people’s lives due to negligence and lack of regular maintenance.

Following the accident, Mr. Abdul Rahim Jawi, Director General of Al-Mualla District, visited the site of the collapse on Shahid Madram Street, where he inspected the damage and met with the wounded at the Gulf of Aden Hospital. He also met with the owners of the damaged apartment to learn about the circumstances of the accident and the measures taken for safety.
