Today, the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund carried out interventions to open Wadi Hassan Road in Abyan Governorate after it was interrupted due to rainfall and torrential flows, by removing the torrential debris accumulated on the surface bridges of the road.
I directed the leadership of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads and the Road Fund, concerned with the Road Fund, to take the necessary measures and make the necessary efforts to open the road, remove flood debris and facilitate the movement of vehicles and citizens to ensure their safety.
The Director General of Emergency Maintenance at the Road Fund, Engineer Abbas Saleh, said, “The technical teams, using the necessary mechanisms, are continuing their efforts to open Wadi Hassan Road, and remove the muddy waste, stones, and trees that were swept away by the floods, in addition to providing assistance to pull vehicles stuck in the floods.”
