Today, the tasks of securing the Yemeni Al-Wadiah border crossing were handed over to forces loyal to Saudi Arabia, which is the only Yemeni crossing with Saudi Arabia currently.
A military source said that forces from the 23rd Mechanized Brigade of the First Military Region forces handed over security and military duties to units of the National Shield Forces.
The source indicated that the Homeland Shield Forces deployed in the vicinity of the port and began the tasks of securing it. This marks the first stage for the Homeland Shield Forces from the Al-Wadiah outlet.
The National Shield Forces were recently established by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and supported with salaries and military equipment. They are spread in many liberated governorates, including Aden, where their main headquarters is located inside the headquarters of the Arab Coalition in the Buraiqa District.
