A ship loaded with approximately 66,027 metric tons of diesel arrived at the port of Aden this evening, intended to support the Aden Electricity Sector.
According to electricity sources, the quantity is sufficient to operate Aden’s power stations for up to two months.
After the ship enters the port, the samples will be examined to ensure their quality, and then the shipment will be unloaded directly into the tanks of the Yemen Petroleum Company.
Diesel will be urgently distributed to power stations to ensure continued power generation and meet the needs of citizens.
Aden's electricity entered a crisis of power outages as a result of fuel running out, and the protest of crude oil tankers between Aden and Shabwa.
