The First Criminal Division of the Court of Appeal in the temporary capital, Aden, headed by Judge Muhammad Mahmoud Al-Junaidi, Head of the First Criminal Division of the Aden Governorate Court of Appeal, today, Sunday, issued its ruling in the case of the murder of the child Haneen Ibrahim Al-Bakri.
The Court of Appeal upheld the initial ruling issued by the Mansoura Court of First Instance on August 7, 2023, in all its paragraphs, which ruled that Hussein Muhammad Harhara be executed by firing squad to death as a legal retaliation for intentionally and aggressively killing the victim, Hanin Ibrahim Salem Al-Bakri.
The Public Prosecution media said on the Facebook platform that the ruling issued by the First Criminal Division in the Aden Governorate Court of Appeal this morning, Sunday, October 22, 2023, was as follows:
1- Acceptance of the appeal The appeal submitted by the appellant Hussein Muhammad Hussein Harhara through his lawyer, Dr. Ali Barahim.
2- In the matter, the preliminary ruling issued by the Mansoura Court of First Instance for the year 1945 dated 20 Muharram 45, corresponding to 8/7/2023 AD, is supported with all its paragraphs in accordance with true Sharia and law.
3- The appellant was sentenced to “pay the attorney’s fees and litigation losses at this stage in the amount of one million two hundred thousand Yemeni riyals.”
On the seventh of last August, the Mansoura Court of First Instance issued a death sentence for the accused of killing the child, Haneen Al-Bakri, after urgent trial sessions that lasted for days, while the case is heading towards appeal.
The child, “Hanin Al-Bakri,” was killed by the bullets of the accused, “Hussein Harhara,” on the day of the Arafa stand, following a dispute following a minor collision with a vehicle in which she was riding, accompanied by her father and her sister, Rawiya, who was also injured in the incident.
