The National Center of Meteorology warned, on Tuesday, of rockslides on mountain roads, and collapses of mud and popular buildings due to continued rainfall.
In its daily bulletin, the Center expected heavy rains to continue in several governorates during the coming hours, accompanied by thunderstorms, blowing winds, and hailstones.
He indicated that heavy rains will be witnessed in the highlands of the governorates of (Shabwa, Al-Dhale’, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Sana’a, Amran, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah and Saada), and will extend westward to include the Tihama Plain and the western coasts of the governorates of (Hajjah, Al-Hudaydah and Taiz).
p>It is also expected that the governorates of (Al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Bayda, Ma’rib and Al-Jawf) will witness rains of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms.
He urged citizens in areas where rain is expected to fall to take the utmost caution and avoid being in the depths of valleys and flood streams during the flow of torrents.
He warned citizens of thunderstorms, strong blowing winds, and falling hail, in addition to a decrease in horizontal visibility as a result of rainfall and the formation of low clouds.
For the second month in a row, Yemen is witnessing heavy rains, which have led to significant material and human losses in several Yemeni governorates.
