This morning, the Premium Academy for Leadership and Management organized an introductory seminar for 20 private schools and secondary schools in the Mukalla District, affiliated with the Ministry of Education office, Hadhramaut Coast, about the self-efficacy diploma, the Seven Habits course, and the LeaderU platform.
At the opening of the symposium, which comes under the supervision of the Office of the Ministry of Education in the Hadhramaut Coast, the Vice President of Hadhramaut University for Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Salem Al-Awbthani, confirmed that private education is a supportive alternative to government education and bears many responsibilities.
Dr. Al-Awbthani added that basic education must be a good citizen armed with skills and values in light of what the country is going through, and educational institutions are required to compete in whoever provides the best educational product and output in an age of skills and open sources for education.
In turn, the Director General of the Premium Academy, Dr. Rabie Al-Oubthani, welcomed the attendees, and in the course of his speech, he thanked the Department of Education for their interest in this experience, reviewing the tasks and programs of the Academy and the building incubator for entrepreneurship under the management of the Business World Investment and Studies Company Limited, as well as the Modern International Institute.
The Director General, Dr. Al-Oubthani, touched on the nature of the project’s work, from which the targeted schools in the district benefit from staff and students, before circulating it to the rest of the regions, pointing out the importance of soft skills, which is one of the biggest challenges at the present time.
The CEO of the Franklin Covey Education Foundation - Middle East, Mr. Ahmed Shawqi, reviewed the 7 Habits course and the LeaderU platform, and discussed opportunities for cooperation in implementing the programs and benefiting from them to improve and develop education in Hadramaut.
The symposium witnessed a review of the self-efficacy diploma and the 7 habits for teachers and school administrative staff, and the identification of the strategic role of Premium Academy with the schools targeted for the success of the project. The symposium concluded by discussing a number of recommendations and determining the next steps.
The self-efficacy diploma implemented by the academy is a training program aimed at developing an individual’s personal skills to increase his effectiveness in various aspects of his life, as well as the 7 Habits course, which is based on the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Dr. Stephen Covey, focusing on developing seven habits. It helps individuals achieve personal and professional success.
The LeaderU platform is known as an educational platform that offers courses and training programs aimed at developing leadership and organizational skills, and provides diverse training content covering several areas such as leadership, personal development, team management, and decision making.
