The administrative body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council held its regular meeting today, Wednesday, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, President of the Assembly, Acting President of the Council.

Al-Kathiri began the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Essam Abdo Ali, Vice-President of the Association, with a speech in which he saluted the popular and tribal movement in Abyan Governorate, which is given importance by the Council and its leadership as the side of the south, stressing that the people of Abyan had made their choice decades ago. They were at the forefront of those who sacrificed and gave dearly to escape from the yoke of the occupation situation, its effects and its tools, to gain independence and build the southern state.

Al-Kathiri added, saying: “The ongoing movement in Abyan Governorate and the intense meetings that all Abyan districts have witnessed recently, declaring its renewal of confidence in the Southern Transitional Council, led by President Commander Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, and its renewal of the pledge to the martyrs, and that there is no way and no alternative but to restore the southern right and deliverance from all covenants.” Hegemony and tyranny, as well as its support for the southern armed forces in their war against the Houthi militias and oppressive terrorist groups.”

In the same context, the association’s administrative body saluted the outcomes of the expanded meeting of the leaders of the Transitional Council in Hadhramaut, which was held last Monday, in which a vision and a road map were announced to remove Hadhramaut from the state of tensions and crises, while emphasizing the principles for which the martyrs fought. And emphasizing that the Council stands by the people of Hadhramaut, and their right to manage the affairs of their governorate themselves administratively and security-wise, and to benefit from the proceeds of their wealth and get rid of the remnants of tyranny and plunder, noting that this will not be complete and achieved except by imposing their will on the entire territory of their governorate, foremost of which is the valley and desert of Hadhramaut.

The meeting of the association’s administrative body supported the decision to form the communication committee announced at the conclusion of the meeting of the council’s leaders in Hadramaut, which will be formed, calling on the committee to work as one team, to communicate with local authorities and civil and tribal community formations to agree on a plan of action that strengthens the social fabric and achieves a partnership between people. At its meeting, the association’s administrative body appreciated the role played by the southern security services, with their various formations, in detecting and pursuing the Houthi and terrorist cells through which it is intended to disrupt the southern social fabric and stir up strife and imbalances in the south, noting that the cells that infiltrate and harbor evil against the south and its people, Everyone's efforts must be combined to confront it, and to support the southern security and military forces to confront and thwart any hostile plans and movements.

In another context, the administrative body heard a report on the current situation of public education in the south, submitted by the Public Education Committee of the National Assembly.
