The Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Hadhramaut Governorate executed the death sentence by firing squad until death against the convict, Salem Saleh Salem Al-Qahtari, in Criminal Case No. 134 of the year 2018 AD. The Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Hadhramaut Governorate for intentionally and aggressively killing the victim, Mahdi Saeed Lakhras, in Faqir.

The implementation of the death sentence came as an end to the ruling issued by the Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance, Hadhramaut Governorate, endorsed by the Specialized Criminal Appeals Division, Hadhramaut Governorate, and approved by the Supreme Court of the Republic against the convict, and the result of the efforts of His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qahir Mustafa Ali, in his keenness and acceleration of the procedures. Implementation of death sentences after they have been approved by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council.

The death sentence was carried out in the presence of Judge Masoud Ali Al-Ghatnini, Deputy Prosecutor of the Specialized Criminal Court of First Instance, Hadhramout Governorate, Judge Abdullah Muhammad Al-Yazidi, Deputy Prosecutor for Security, Research and Prisons, Hadhramout Governorate, Colonel Ali Abdulaziz Bazbaidi, Director of the Rehabilitation and Correctional Service, Hadhramout Governorate - Al-Mukalla, and Captain Yeslam Ahmed Al-Nohi, Deputy Director of the Correctional Facility and Colonel Hani Muhammad Bashkil Al-Khazraji, Director of Criminal Investigation, Sahel Hadhramaut, a number of security men, the blood relatives of the victim, and a group of citizens.
