The heavy rains that fell throughout last night and this morning, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, over large areas of Talb and Dhi Nahab, Yafa’, and Ba’ous, caused extensive damage to agricultural lands, not to mention that some homes and shops near the valleys were partially damaged, in addition to Roads were cut off in the course of the floods, in addition to material losses affecting some private property such as cars, and damage to wells in some villages and areas of Wadi Dhi Nahab and Talab.

Local sources said that heavy rains had been witnessed in some areas of Yafa, the heaviest of which were in Dhi Nakheb and Talab, Yafa’ and Labous. According to the sources, the rain led to the flow of torrential torrents in the valleys, causing damage to a number of shops near the course of the torrents, in addition to sweeping away a number of of cars and damage to agricultural terraces and roads.

Pictures on social media showed cars being swept away and some shops near the valleys partially collapsing, despite the lack of official and accurate information in this regard.
