The administrative body of the Yemeni Teachers Union in Marib held a meeting with the leaders of the Teachers Union to discuss the issues and demands of male and female teachers and the conditions in which they live.
In the meeting, which was chaired by Ahmed Al-Rabahi, Executive Director of the Teachers Syndicate, the union’s efforts to demand the rights of teachers and improve their conditions were reviewed, and the difficulties facing responding to the legal demands of workers in the field of education in light of the conditions of the legitimate government, as well as the reality of teachers in non-liberated areas who are suffering. Both are because they are performing their educational mission while being deprived of their monthly salaries for eight years, which is a tragic situation without parallel.
The meeting discussed possible means of activating the demand for rights by activating the union role at the governorate and central levels and adhering to constitutional and legal rights in expressing the human rights and legal demands of educators and workers in the field of education, holding the government and local authorities fully responsible for the deterioration of the conditions of teachers and thus the conditions of education in our country, which It is witnessing a rapid and dangerous deterioration that threatens the future of generations.
The meeting touched on ways to activate the union’s role at various levels to carry out its duty towards the segment of male and female teachers and the teaching profession, and the meeting took a number of decisions in this regard.
