After his directives to expedite the repair of the damage to the surface bridges affected by the floods in Sa’il Balah on the Al-Anad Al-Habilain Road in Lahj Governorate, this morning the Chairman of the General Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, the main center in the capital, Aden, Engineer Moeen Muhammad Al-Mas, carried out an inspection visit to the ongoing work there, accompanied by Engineer Safwan Fahmy, Director General of Supervision and Quality Control, and Engineer Abbas Saleh Ahmed, Director General of Emergency Maintenance at the Road Maintenance Fund.
Engineer Moeen was briefed on his visit to the site of the currently ongoing work on surface bridge No. 1, which was damaged by torrential floods as a result of the low air condition experienced in the governorate, which is being financed and supervised by the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, the main center - the capital, Aden, and under the directives of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads, represented by His Excellency Minister of Public Works, Engineer Salem Mohammed Al-Harizi, inspected the extent of the implementation of the structural and technical repairs to the bridge, which are being implemented by the General Organization for Roads and Bridges.
In his meeting with the project manager, Engineer Yasser Abu Al-Ezz, who was receiving him along with Engineer Riyad Hassan, director of the branch of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges in Lahj, the Chairman of the Board of Directors briefed on the current status of the bridge and the various works carried out on it, in which Engineer Abu Al-Ezz emphasized the Continuing efforts in the process of reforming it on the part of the implementing agency.
According to what Engineer Moeen was briefed on, he stressed the importance of continuing efforts in carrying out the work and trying to finish repairing the bridge as soon as possible to stop any damage or obstruction that might stop traffic on it later and protect the lives of the beneficiaries and travelers of the road, given that it is a vital corridor located on Liquid stream.
Engineer Moeen also praised the efforts of the technical teams of the implementing agency, pointing out the importance of the existing work in facilitating the movement of citizens and providing safe roads to walk on even in times of rain, urging the implementing agency to expedite completion to restore the bridge to readiness, while moving on to repair the rest of the bridges on the way.
