The Immigration and Passports Department announced the availability of passports after batches of them arrived at the issuance centers inside and outside Yemen.
The Immigration and Passports Department’s agent, Brigadier General Abdul-Jabbar Salem, said that two million notebooks have been provided and all overdue passports will be printed and the transactions in the issuance centers will be completed.
He pointed out that the authority has issued about 7 million passports since its transfer to Aden in 2016, following the Houthis’ invasion of the capital, Sana’a.
He added, "Ten branches for issuing passports have been opened in the liberated governorates, in order to receive all Yemeni citizens, and approximately fifteen issuance centers have been opened in embassies and missions abroad to serve expatriate citizens."
