The Chairman of the General Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, the main center in the capital, Aden, Engineer Moeen Muhammad Al-Mas, as part of his periodic inspection visits to the projects funded by the Fund, and his duties in supervising them and the administrative work represented in managing the pivotal stations spread on the main roads in the governorates, Inspecting the conditions and progress of work at the Al-Anad axial weighing station in Lahj Governorate.
Engineer Mueen Al-Mas was briefed by Engineer Waddah Al-Mashriqi, the station manager, on the general status of the station’s work in monitoring excess loads of heavy transport vehicles, and learning about the latest developments in the statistics recorded by the station during the recent recent period regarding the extent of compliance with the legally specified weights.
Engineer Al-Mashriqi explained the technical and statistical reports on the number of legally compliant and violating vehicles, providing an explanation of the ongoing procedures to control violating loads and deal with violators in unloading excess weights and transporting them in other vehicles.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, in turn, praised the continuous and dedicated work of the station’s staff, and in implementing the directives, the importance of working to stop the causes of road deterioration, of which excess weight is the most important cause.
Engineer Moeen urged the work crew to continue efforts to achieve the goals for which the stations were established, which is to keep the national road network in a safe and sound condition for citizens and beneficiaries.
He was accompanied during the visit by Engineer Safwan Fahmy, Director General of Supervision and Quality Control, and Engineer Abbas Saleh Ahmed, Director General of Emergency Maintenance.
