The team, along with the delegation, was briefed on the needs of a number of streets in the Mansoura and Sheikh Othman districts that require intervention, including the May 22 Roundabout intersection in Sheikh Othman. The delegation also visited 50th Street in the Mansoura District, which will be funded by Japan through the United Nations Office for Project Service (UNOPS) and under the supervision of the Implementation Unit. The delegation heard from Engineer Mohamed Hassan, Director General of the Axial Weighing Stations Unit, a brief explanation about the workflow at the station and the application of the system and law enforcement in the remaining stations operating in the liberated governorates to ensure the continuation and sustainability of the “road” lifeline.

The visiting delegation praised the efforts, capabilities and capabilities currently in place and the keenness of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads and the Maintenance Fund to adopt development and service projects for the road and bridge network in the country, and develop them in a way that enables them to flourish.
