The Ministry of Finance of the Yemeni government announced today the start of the process of disbursing financial dues to military and security employees dismissed from their jobs in the southern governorates, who number more than 34 thousand beneficiaries, in an amount of more than 9 billion riyals, through the Al-Qutaybi Islamic Microfinance Bank.
p>This came as part of official efforts to address the issues of employees removed from their jobs, pursuant to the issuance of presidential decisions in mid-May of last year 2023, starting from Resolution No. (42) to Resolution No. (62), according to which more than 62 thousand cases were dealt with. Grievance for employees dismissed from their jobs, as well as in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (28) of 2023 regarding the approval of financial support for dismissed employees.
An official source in the Ministry of Finance said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), “The start of the process of disbursing the entitlements of military and security employees who were removed from their jobs comes after the completion of the technical committee, which included representatives of the ministries of Finance, Civil Service, Insurance, Defense, Interior, and the Central Organization for Control and Accounting.” Its tasks included reviewing the beneficiaries’ statements and the extent to which the conditions for disbursing their financial dues were met, out of concern to alleviate their living suffering in light of the current difficult circumstances that the country is experiencing.”
