Within the framework of the Fund’s management of the file of pivotal stations in the liberated governorates, in implementation of the directives of the presidential leadership, today the leadership of the Road Maintenance Fund, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Public Administration in the capital, Aden, Engineer Moeen Muhammad Al-Mas, and Engineer Ali Al-Tab, Executive Director of the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, inaugurated the start of work on the station. The axial weight in the Yafa military area in Lahj Governorate.
The station was inaugurated in the presence of Engineer Muhammad Hassan Hussein, General Director of the General Administration of Axial Weighing Stations, Engineer Mukhtar Al-Maflahi, General Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Engineer Safwan Fahmi, General Director of Supervision and Quality Control, Engineer Abbas Saleh Ahmed, General Director of Emergency Maintenance at the Road Maintenance Fund, and Engineer Ramin Abdel Aziz, Director Department of Supervision and Follow-up, Engineer Rami Al-Shaabi, Director General of Emergency Maintenance at the General Corporation for Roads and Roads, Engineer Riyad Hassan, Director of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges Lahj Branch, Engineer Hadeel Ali Ghaleb, Director of the Maintenance Center at the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges Lahj, and Muammar Al-Khader, Head of Operations for the Security Belt Sector in the Military.
At the inauguration, Engineer Moeen noted the start of a new journey in monitoring the weights and loads of heavy transport vehicles passing on the Military Road, and with them the entry of the Military Station within the supervision of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund to maintain the governorate’s roads and the national road network passing through Lahj Governorate.
p>The Chairman of the Board of Directors stressed the importance of the event taking place today in inaugurating and opening the station in Yafa, due to the necessity of monitoring and controlling the violating weights and dealing with them legally, in order to achieve maximum benefit by protecting roads and bridges from deterioration due to weights exceeding the permissible limit.
The crowd of attendees during the inauguration praised the new step added to the Fund’s journey in protecting roads that are sound, safe and available over time, away from consuming public money on repetitive maintenance projects due to irregular weights.
