The Security Belt forces in the Abyan coastal sector were able, at dawn today, to arrest three accused of African nationalities, involved in arms and drug smuggling operations.
The Commander of the Belt Forces in the Coast Sector in Abyan Governorate, Colonel Mahdi Hantoush, explained that the Belt Forces arrested three Africans, carrying forged Yemeni identity cards, involved in arms and drug smuggling operations, after a monitoring and follow-up operation that lasted weeks, so that our forces could arrest them on board. Hantoush added that the arrested individuals (M.A.M.S.), (M.S.M.S.) and (A.H.M.) hold the nationalities of African countries, as preliminary investigations revealed that they are considered among the dangerous and involved elements. For crimes of arms and drug smuggling, they have a criminal record.
Noting that the Security Belt Forces in the Coast Sector have conducted preliminary investigations with the accused, and they will be referred to the competent authorities to complete the case file and take the necessary measures regarding them.
