A high-level security meeting was held in Lahj Governorate, headed by Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, Advisor to the Chairman of the Leadership Council for Defense and Security Affairs, and in the presence of a number of military and civilian leaders, to discuss ways to solve the problem of revenge and land control in the districts of Tur Al-Baha, Al-Mudaraba, and Ras Al-Ara.
The attendees stressed the importance of joining efforts and unifying ranks in order to restore security and stability in these areas, stressing the need to put an end to the problem of revenge that the governorate has long suffered from.
In his speech, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Al-Subaihi urged all parties to cooperate with the security campaign and hand over wanted persons, stressing the importance of activating the committees formed to resolve the outstanding issues. He also thanked the tribes for their role in supporting security efforts.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Saeed Al-Zaouri, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, stressed the necessity of adhering to the Covenant Document signed by military and security leaders and sheikhs of the Sabiha areas, stressing the importance of fighting any attempts to destabilize security and stability in the region.
In turn, Governor Ahmed Abdullah Turki praised the efforts of the security campaign in maintaining security and stability, and urged citizens to cooperate with it.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to form a joint security committee responsible for following up on the implementation of decisions and providing the necessary support for the security campaign. The importance of educating society about the dangers of revenge and land control, and promoting the values of tolerance and cooperation, was also emphasized.
