The commander of the rescue forces in Shabwa Governorate, Colonel Ali Al-Dahboul, survived an assassination attempt that targeted him today, Monday, in the city of Ataq, the capital of the governorate.
A security source reported that unidentified gunmen fired a barrage of bullets at a military vehicle that Al-Dahboul was traveling in on a street in the city, causing damage to some cars present in the place.
Fortunately, this attempt did not result in any casualties among the security forces or civilians, while the perpetrators fled to an unknown destination.
This incident comes in light of the deteriorating security situation in Shabwa Governorate, which is witnessing a widespread proliferation of weapons, a return to tribal revenge, and a noticeable increase in crime rates.
