The Supreme Judicial Council held its regular meeting today, in the capital, Aden, headed by His Eminence Judge Mohsen Yahya Talib, President of the Council.
The Council stood before the semi-annual performance report for the year 2024 submitted by the Public Prosecution. The Council praised the report submitted by the Public Prosecutor, His Eminence Judge Qahir Mustafa Ali, on the progress of work in public prosecution offices in the liberated governorates. The Council urged the prosecution offices to redouble efforts and look into cases. Citizens at the same pace.
The Council approved the assignment of Judges Muhammad Saeed Qasim Al-Sanani and Muhammad Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Al-Thuwair to work in the Judicial Inspection Authority for the Courts Sector, and the transfer of Judge Qasim Ahmed Nasser Jarz to work as a member of the First Civil Division in Lahj Governorate.
The Council also considered a request to lift the judicial immunity of one of the judges and referred it to the Judicial Inspection Authority to complete the procedures and submit the matter to the Council in a future session.
The Council considered a number of grievances submitted to it by some judges and took appropriate solutions regarding them.
The Council discussed a number of topics on its agenda and approved its previous minutes.
