Al-Wadiah Customs employees, in cooperation with the security authorities working at the port, were able to seize 10,845 capsules of a pregabalin type medication used to control epileptic seizures and addictive neurological disorders.
Director General of Al-Wadiah Customs, Abdul Haq Hassan, said that customs made large seizures recently, in light of the efforts of the Customs Authority to combat smuggling, which comes in implementation of the directives of the government headed by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, and the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem Saleh Bin Brik, and the head of the Customs Authority, Mr. Abdul Hakim. Al-Qabatī.
Hassan stressed that customs officials will not hesitate to seize contraband that affects public health, especially those that destroy youth and can be used as an alternative to stimulants and narcotic substances, whether their purpose is to enter or exit Yemeni territory.
