The Public Prosecution in the Shabwa Appeals Governorate and the security of the Shabwa Governorate this morning, Wednesday, September 10, 2024 AD, in the courtyard of the central prison in the city of Ataq, implemented the ruling of legal retribution against the convicted convict, Abboud Yahya Abboud Al-Darraq, by firing squad for deliberately killing the victim, Bassem Abdullah Hussein Al-Amiri. 

The death sentence was executed in implementation of the ruling of the Beihan Court of First Instance, which ruled that the accused was convicted and punished with death by firing squad, and was upheld by the Shabwa Governorate Court of Appeal, which is based in the Supreme Court of the Republic. After the approval of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and after completing those procedures, the Attorney General of the Republic, Judge Qahir Mustafa Ali, directed that the Implementation procedures, which completed for them their right to legal retaliation from the convict, in compliance with the Almighty’s saying: (And for you is life in retaliation, O you of understanding, that you may become righteous).

After trying to convince and encourage the blood relatives to grant absolute pardon or on the condition of blood money, and their refusal to do so, they requested the implementation of the legal retaliation ruling. The operative part of the ruling was read by the deputy prosecutor of Beihan and Usaylan of primary school, Judge Muhammad Salem Al-Ahmadi, and the implementation was carried out in the presence of the head of the Shabwa Governorate Appeals Prosecution, Judge Dr. Saleh. Ahmed Al-Madhaji, Shabwa Governorate Police Director, Brigadier General Fouad Al-Nasi, the Central Prison Director, Captain Saleh Al-Dahboul, the Commander of the Rescue Forces, Colonel Ali Masoud Al-Dahboul, and a number of judges, police officers, and blood guardians.
