Today, Tuesday, the local authority issued a preliminary report on the repercussions of Cyclone “Tej” in Al-Mahra Governorate.
The report stated that the hurricane caused the death of two people and injured 150 others, and caused significant damage to infrastructure and private and public property.
The report indicated that the hurricane caused the displacement of about 10,000 people in the districts of Al-Ghaydah and Haswain, which were considered the most affected by the hurricane.
The report explained that the damage to infrastructure included the collapse of roads and bridges, damage to government buildings and homes, and the destruction of electricity and water networks.
The report indicated that government emergency teams and humanitarian relief teams are working to assess the damage and provide assistance to those affected.
