The Undersecretary of the capital, Aden, Mr. Abdul Raouf Al-Saqqaf, praised the efforts of civil society organizations in supporting and empowering people of determination, during his visit to the Bena Development Foundation. This visit coincides with the conclusion of the intensive training program implemented by the Foundation with the support of the Handy Cup Foundation, which lasted for 24 days, targeting people with four disabilities (auditory, visual, motor, and mental).
The training program is distinguished by its provision of life skills, entrepreneurship, and financial culture, as it is considered the first of its kind to bring together all groups of people of determination. The training contributed to enhancing the trainees’ skills in these fields, while providing financial support for the best small projects implemented by the participants. Some of them will also be integrated into professional associations and institutions to develop their skills, while others will be qualified in vocational training institutes.
Al-Saqqaf stressed the importance of these initiatives in developing the capabilities of people of determination and integrating them into the labor market, which contributes to enhancing their role in community and economic development.
