The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today, Thursday, that it had destroyed a missile system in Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.
The US Central Command said, in a tweet on the “X” platform, that it destroyed a missile system in an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen.
Centcom explained that this system poses a clear and imminent threat to American forces, coalition forces, and commercial ships in the region.
This action was taken to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters safer and more secure for US, coalition, and commercial ships.
