His Excellency the Minister of Endowments and Guidance, Dr. Muhammad bin Aida Shabiba, honored the top ten winners of the Qur’anic Recitation Day, with a comprehensive Umrah program at the Ministry’s expense.
This came during his reception with a number of the Ministry’s leadership this Thursday morning, the ten winners of the Qur’anic Narrative Day, which was held at the University Mosque in the capital, Aden.
Shabiba said, “These ten winners are out of one hundred and thirty-nine memorizers of the Book of God from different age groups. They spent an entire day in the midst of the Book of God, reciting it by heart, from the first verse to the end, and this is the least we can offer to those who are busy with the Book of God in memorization, recitation, and behavior.” And a way of life.”
Minister Shabiba stated that “the Qur’anic Recitation Day is a unique Quranic demonstration that the Ministry of Endowments and Guidance was keen to hold in the city of love and peace, Aden, to be the first to organize activities similar to the Quranic recitation in other governorates, God willing.”
In the meantime, His Excellency the Minister visited the Ministry’s Memorization Sector, and was briefed on the progress of the qualifiers for the Kuwait International Holy Quran Competition for this year 1446 AH - 2024 AD.
The Minister praised the efforts of the memorization sector in training memorizers and qualifying them to represent Yemen in international Qur’anic competitions, and stressed the need for the sector to pay attention to its role in serving the Book of God and memorizing it, and to redouble efforts to advance the sector and its future activities.
