The Yemeni Council of Ministers, today, Tuesday, reviewed reports from the concerned ministers about the existing problems in supplying gas stations with electricity in the capital, Aden, and the efforts made to overcome them, and the urgent requirements according to a fast track to develop solutions to achieve relative stability in electricity service.
The Minister of Oil and Minerals explained that there are sufficient quantities of electricity fuel that will arrive in the coming days, and that the Ministry is working to ensure its arrival to gas stations in Aden.
It is noteworthy that Aden Electricity announced yesterday that 70% of the stations that operate on diesel fuel were out, and it appealed to the government and the Yemeni presidential office to quickly commit to a mission towards the people of the south in providing basic needs, most notably electricity.
The hours of power off ranged from 7 to 16 hours, compared to an hour and a half of operation.
