A girl died in Aden, today, Thursday, two days after she was exposed to a horrific run-over accident, in the Kabuta area. The girl was transferred to a hospital in critical condition on the evening of Tuesday, September 10, 2024, where she was under care in the intensive care unit, but she died. Today she is affected by her injury.

The accident occurred on Tuesday evening when a reckless driver hit the girl and fled the scene. According to eyewitnesses, the girl was immediately taken to the hospital by the driver of an “Echo” car. Hours after the accident, the driver turned himself in to the police in Cairo, Aden. The authorities began investigations into the circumstances of the accident.

The girl's death comes as a tragic end to this incident that shook Aden, amid demands from residents for stricter measures on the highway and the installation of speed bumps to ensure the safety of pedestrians and to hold perpetrators of traffic accidents accountable.
