Local sources reported, on Friday, that there were deaths and injuries, following clashes between tribal militants in the Upper Markha District, Shabwa Governorate.

The sources explained, “Clashes broke out between armed men from the Al Muhayqan Bani Ayoub tribe in the Upper Markha District, resulting in the killing of five people and the wounding of at least two others due to a dispute over a piece of land.”

According to the sources, the situation is still tense as a result of the clashes that left deaths and injuries.

The residents of Shabwa complain about the state of security chaos that their governorate has reached, which has contributed to the revival of tribal feuds that had almost disappeared among the tribes.
