The southern forces were able, at dawn on Saturday, to confront a violent attack launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias on their positions in the Qareen sector in Al-Musaimeer, north of Lahj Governorate.
The attack, which was accompanied by intense artillery and fire bombardment, was an attempt to achieve field gains, but the southern forces forced the militias to retreat, inflicting heavy losses on their ranks.
Military sources reported that two heroes of the south were martyred and three wounded, while Houthi ambulances were seen transporting the bodies of their dead to the Mawiyah District.
This attempt comes in the context of repeated militia attacks, all of which failed in the face of the steadfastness of the southern forces.
