Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, President of the National Assembly, during his meeting today, Wednesday, with Waddah Al-Halmi, Head of the Executive Body of the Local Leadership of the Council in Lahj Governorate, was briefed on the general situation in Lahj and the progress of work of the Council’s executive bodies in the governorate and its districts.

Al-Kathiri also heard from Al-Halmi a summary of what was accomplished in the file of arranging the conditions of the families of the governorate’s martyrs, and the results of the meetings held by the governorate’s transitional leadership with a number of social figures, sheikhs, and government agencies, to coordinate efforts, to improve the general situation in the governorate.

At the end of the meeting, Al-Kathiri praised the efforts of the Lahj transitional leadership and the tasks it accomplished during the past period, stressing the importance of strengthening coordination between the executive bodies in the governorate, the National Assembly committees and the local authorities, for the benefit of the governorate and its people.
