Today, Sunday, the work of the second medical camp to correct strabismus in children continues for the second week in a row, with the support of Brigadier General Bashir Al-Mudharibi, Commander of the National Shield Forces, in partnership with Al-Ain Specialized Clinic for Ophthalmology and Surgery, and coordinated by journalist Saleh Al-Obaidi.
Dr. Hussein Al-Nufaili, head of the medical team, indicated that the camp performs strabismus correction operations accurately and consistently, as about 14 operations are performed daily during the morning and evening periods, for a group of pre-registered children, which includes 150 cases from different regions and governorates.< /p>
Al-Nufaili pointed out the importance of continuing to support these camps to include other age groups, especially adults, with a focus on girls who suffer from psychological effects as a result of bullying and lack of self-confidence due to their conditions.
He added: “We are committed to providing the best medical care at Al Ain Specialized Clinic. Al-Nufaili called for continued support for such camps, expressing his hope to expand their scope to include needy people from poor families who cannot afford treatment in light of the difficult economic conditions.< /p>
The camp has conducted more than 40 correction operations in the past week, and work continues until the last recorded case is resolved.
