Aden Governorate Operations, based on the directives of the Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, directed a circular to the directors of all directorates, the directors of the Public Works and Roads Office, the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation, the Aden Electricity Corporation, the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, and the Health and Civil Defense Office, to raise readiness and prepare to face the expected rain during this evening. Today and the next three days, according to the warnings published by the National Center of Meteorology.
The governorate operations called on all relevant parties to raise maximum readiness, put equipment and machinery on standby, inspect rain drainage channels and ensure their readiness, and conduct field visits to high-altitude sites and urge citizens to stay away and move their property away from the sites of torrential flows.
The communication stressed the need for the Electricity Corporation to measure the level of rain, and to invite all technical and engineering crews to attend to deal with any damage or problems that the generating stations or electrical transformers may be exposed to.
