The General Electricity Corporation of Aden announced the gradual restart of electricity supply in the city, after the generation stations went out of service as a result of the system being exposed to a power failure due to a malfunction in one of the transmission circuits.

The Corporation confirmed that technical crews are currently working to locate the defect and isolate it from the network until it is completely repaired. The Corporation also expressed its deep regret over this technical malfunction, stressing that it is beyond its control.

The corporation calls on citizens to understand the situation and confirms that it is making intensive efforts to restore service to normal as soon as possible.
