Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak directed a review of the “Turbac” prices in the customs data book for cars entering the country by land, based on complaints submitted about a significant increase in their prices.
The Prime Minister confirmed, during today’s visit to the Al-Wadiah border crossing, that the government will follow up with the competent authorities on this issue and review the fees imposed on expatriate cars entering the country from the crossing.
He also directed the port administration and its offices to prevent the imposition of any illegal fees on travelers and to hold accountable anyone proven to be involved in that. He stressed that the port administration must take sustainable measures to prevent crowding and overcrowding of travelers, including expatriates, Umrah pilgrims, pilgrims, and visitors to Saudi Arabia, or coming from it.
During the visit, in which he was accompanied by the Ministers of Finance, Salem bin Brik, Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, Minister of Industry and Trade, Muhammad Al-Ashwal, Minister of Electricity and Energy, Mani’ bin Yameen, and the Chief of the General Staff, Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, the Prime Minister stressed the completion of Carrying out job rotation at the outlets in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers, urgently, noting the commitment of the Ministries of Finance and Transport to implement job rotation at the deposit port.
