Professor Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and President of the National Assembly, met today, Tuesday, with the President of the University of Aden, Dr. Al-Khader Nasser Laswar.
In the meeting attended by Dr. Abu Bakr Barahim, Director of the Consulting Center, Secretary General of the Board of Trustees at the University of Aden, and Mukhtar Al-Yafei, Vice President of the National Southern Media Authority, Al-Kathiri was briefed on the work plan of the University of Aden for the last quarter of the current year 2024 AD, and the progress of the process. Education in university colleges and entrance examinations.
The meeting touched on the importance of subjecting some government colleges to the preparatory year and the differentiation process among applicants, to ensure complete transparency and that outstanding students obtain academic seats.
The meeting discussed the educational programs offered by the University of Aden, which are being carefully studied in order to continuously develop and improve academic education, and research the reasons for students’ reluctance to enter some university majors.
Al-Kathiri praised, in the meeting in which the advisor to the president of the association, Saleh Qarda, participated, the great efforts made by the university presidency in developing academic curricula to keep pace with the rapid scientific development, stressing that the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, represented by President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, pays great attention to the basic education sector. And academic and professional, as it would contribute significantly to improving the requirements of comprehensive development throughout the south.
