The local authorities in Al-Mahra Governorate confirmed today that they were able to open the road for four-wheel drive vehicles to the Hoswain District, which had been under siege for three days due to Hurricane Tej and the heavy rains and torrential rains that swept the governorate as a result of the hurricane.
An official source in the local authority said that the relief teams were able to open the road for four-wheel drive vehicles, while they continue their efforts to open the road for other vehicles.
The source indicated that the local authorities are sending ambulances and medical teams to transport the injured from Haswain to the city of Al-Ghaydah, the capital of the governorate.
Huswain District suffered major losses in infrastructure and homes as a result of the rains and torrential rains. It also caused roads to be cut off, food and medical supplies to residents, and the communications network due to the repercussions of Cyclone Tej, which struck the governorate the past two days.
