The Ministry of Information in the Yemeni government strongly condemned the kidnapping of a media activist and content creator from Ibb Governorate by the terrorist Houthi militia.
The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, said that the terrorist militias affiliated with Iran kidnapped the media activist and content creator, Abdul Rahman Al-Baidhani, from his home in the Al-Sahol area in Ibb Governorate, and forcibly disappeared him, against the backdrop of his posts on social media sites
The Minister of Information added in a press statement that these kidnappings are nothing but a new episode in the series of systematic violations carried out by the Houthi militia against every person with a free national voice in areas forcefully under its control, and who exercise their right to convey the facts and reveal the militia’s oppressive practices, and their pride. With their national affiliation and celebration of national holidays, with the aim of obliterating the truth and stifling freedom of expression
Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities regarding these criminal practices that represent a flagrant violation of international laws, and to put pressure on the Houthi militia to release journalists and all those kidnapped in its illegal detention centers without restrictions or conditions, and to guarantee their rights and protect them from these criminal practices. And proceeding to classify it as a “global terrorist organization.”
