The security services in Dhamar Governorate, which is under the control of the Houthi group, arrested a group of citizens, including the owner of an internet store.
The reasons for the arrests are due to some stores advertising advertisements for registration in the “American Router”, a program that gives its winners an opportunity to work and obtain visas to immigrate to the United States.
Local sources and eyewitnesses reported that security forces affiliated with the security, police, and intelligence agencies deployed in the streets of the city, where a number of citizens, store owners, and workers were arrested.
The sources reported that the security forces arrested the owner of an internet store on the Western Ring Street and transferred him to an unknown destination.
The sources also indicated that some security personnel were wearing civilian clothes, with slogans and pictures loyal to the Houthi group on their weapons.
It is noteworthy that thousands of Yemenis apply annually to register with the “American Router” in search of an opportunity to immigrate to escape the difficult conditions in Yemen.
