Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Eng. Moeen Al-Mas, today inaugurated emergency intervention work on 10 surface bridges in Sa’ilat Bellah in Lahj Governorate, which is being implemented by the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, at a cost of 300 million riyals, with funding from the Road Fund.< /p>
Engineer Al-Mas listened to an explanation from the project manager, Engineer Yasser Abu Al-Ezz, about the intervention works that include digging a water channel for the torrents to pass through, creating buffers made of large stones, and building walls of scalloped concrete to protect the bridges.
Al-Mas stressed the importance of emergency intervention work on surface bridges in Bela in strengthening bridge infrastructure, enhancing the ability of bridges to face environmental challenges and providing safety for users... stressing the need to complete the work in accordance with technical and engineering specifications and as quickly as possible.
