Lieutenant Colonel Qasim Al-Thobani announced that the emergency forces in Al-Dhalea Governorate succeeded in arresting the main accused involved in the assassination attempt in 2020. This came during his visit to the sites of the First Resistance Brigade on the Maris Front, north of Al-Dhalea, as part of the tasks of the military committee charged with following up on the payments of the fronts and forces within Arab coalition forces.
Al-Thobani confirmed that investigations revealed the defendant’s involvement in raising the coordinates and following up on the course of the attack with the Houthi militias, which led to the martyrdom of three of his companions on that painful day.
In a statement, Lieutenant Colonel Al-Thobani expressed his thanks and gratitude for the great security efforts made to arrest the accused, noting that this operation comes within the ongoing efforts to protect the security and stability of the nation. He also assured the families of the martyrs that efforts are continuing to overthrow everyone behind this cowardly terrorist act.
At the end of his statement, Al-Thobani called for continuing to confront the enemies’ plans, praising everyone who contributes to defending the nation’s sovereignty and its pure soil.
