In a positive step to support human rights in Yemen, the United Nations Human Rights Council approved a draft resolution aimed at providing technical assistance and capacity building in this field.
This decision comes in light of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen and the increasing reports of serious violations of international human rights law.
The Council expressed its deep concern about these violations, and called on all parties to respect international humanitarian law and human rights, and to work to achieve a just and lasting peace in Yemen.
